Welcoming Zander Shapiro To Our Advisory Board!

Alexander (“Zander”) Shapiro has joined our advisory board. Zander has spent over 30 years in the law - private practice, the U.S. Department of Justice, and senior in-house counsel roles at three Fortune 500 companies - so he's seen legal billing from just about every seat at the table.

When we first met Zander, one thing surprised us: his interest in AI-powered automated timekeeping goes back over two decades, to his time on an ABA task force revising legal billing code guidelines. He's been giving us direct, sharp feedback ever since that first meeting, and we're glad to have him helping us build the world's best AI-powered timekeeper.

Zander’s Background

Zander is a partner at the boutique litigation firm Ford O’Brien Landy, LLP, where he represents professionals and businesses in complex commercial disputes and in white-collar regulatory and criminal investigations. He came to private practice in 2001 after ten years at the United States Department of Justice - six of them as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York. Along the way he picked up the Attorney General's John Marshall Award and the Chief Postal Inspector's Award, among other honors.

There's also more than a decade of in-house work on his resume, managing litigation, internal investigations and compliance policies as senior counsel at three Fortune 500 companies - The Bank of New York Mellon, Cablevision Systems Corporation (now Altice USA), and DXC Technology, Inc. At Cablevision, Zander was Head of Litigation and Compliance Policy; at DXC Technology, he was the Global Head of Litigation and Investigations. Away from the office he's a classical music person, with several published articles on music history and, most recently, a book.
