We’re thrilled to welcome Alexander (“Zander”) Shapiro to our advisory board! With over 30 years of experience spanning private practice, the U.S. Department of Justice, and senior in-house counsel roles at three Fortune 500 companies, Zander brings a wealth of knowledge and a unique perspective to our team.
When we first met Zander, we were surprised to learn that his long-standing interest in AI-powered automated timekeeping dates back over two decades to his time on an ABA task force tasked with revising legal billing code guidelines. Since that meeting, he has been a consistent source of insightful advice and penetrating feedback. We're excited to have him on board, helping us build the world's best AI-powered timekeeper!
A partner at the boutique litigation firm Ford O’Brien Landy, LLP, Zander has a wide-ranging practice representing professionals and businesses in complex commercial disputes and white-collar regulatory and criminal investigations.
Before entering private practice in 2001, Zander served ten years in the United States Department of Justice, six of those as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in the Southern District of New York. In the course of his government career, Alexander earned numerous awards, including the prestigious Attorney General's John Marshall Award and the Chief Postal Inspector's Award.
Zander has also spent over a decade managing litigation, internal investigations and compliance policies as senior in-house counsel for three Fortune 500 companies, The Bank of New York Mellon, Cablevision Systems Corporation (now Altice USA), and DXC Technology, Inc. At Cablevision, Zander held the position of Head of Litigation and Compliance Policy, while at DXC Technology, Zander was the Global Head of Litigation and Investigations.
Zander has a keen interest in classical music and has written several articles and most recently a book on topics in music history.
